100 Years of Flight in Nelson
The Nelson Pilots Association will be celebrating 100 years of flight in Nelson in during the summer. The very first airplane to come to Nelson was flown by American Pilot Walter Edwards in September of 1912. This was a Curtis Pusher and performed a series of demonstration flights during Nelson’s annual Fall Fair known as Chaka Mica . Various events and activities will be held during the summer of 2012. We will be updating as more details become available.
